The Warcraft Tanto, the first product in the Warcraft series, boasts some specs that seem like they’re straight out of a video game. It features a gorgeous 7.5-inch, DLC (Diamond Like Coating) coated blade that’s highly resistant to rust and scratches. The blade itself has a stout flat ground primary cutting edge and a chisel ground secondary bevel that creates a formidable second point ideal for a snap cut.
And we haven’t even gotten to the best part of the blade yet: the steel.
Warcraft Tanto in SheathThe blade is made of CPM 3V steel, which some people consider the perfect steel for the outdoors. The steel is well known for its toughness, unmatched hardness levels and ability to hold an edge while chopping. If you have any doubts about the durability of the blade, check out this outrageous video from Cold Steel that puts the blades on the Warcraft series through stress tests like chopping through a two-by-four and holding up a car with it.
We’re not done with the Warcraft Tanto either.
Wrapped around the full tang is a contoured 3D G10 handle that fits your hand like a glove. Never underestimate the importance of comfort on a knife like this because if you’re out in the field chopping away, other knives can give you blisters in a matter of minutes. The comfortable handle and great balance will keep you wielding this badass knife for hours.
Rounding out this 12.9-inch fixed blade is a nice Secure-Ex sheath that easily attaches to a belt or the inside of a jacket.
The knife, designed by Cold Steel president and founder Lynn C. Thompson, comes with a relatively large price tag, but this premium knife is definitely worth every penny.
