SOG built its name on producing top-of-the-line knives that excel in extreme situations. The company focused on fixed blades in its early days before jumping into the folding knife genre. The Flash II is the poster child of the company’s goal.
The Flash I became an instant hit among knife nuts everywhere after being called an “outstanding reference EDC” knife. Well, SOG managed to improve upon the highly acclaimed original Flash with a few upgrades.
This version of the Flash II features a 3.5-inch drop point blade with black TiNi coating and a partially serrated edge. SOG Assisted Technology (S.A.T.) springs the blade open quickly and reliably each time.

Encased in the textured glass-reinforced nylon handle is the piston lock that’s easily disengaged with a sliding button.
Like all Flash models, this one comes with a reversible bayonet mounted deep carry pocket clip that’s been darkened to keep with the all-black theme of the knife.
It’s no surprise the Flash II continues to be talked about as a solid option for everyday carry.
