Victorinox MiniChamp – Badass Knife of the Week

The Victorinox Swiss Champ is the flagship Swiss Army Knife that packs nearly every useful function possible into a tool you can still feel comfortable carrying around.

So what’s the only way you can make the Swiss Champ better? Making it more compact.

Boasting the same length as the Victorinox Classic, the MiniChamp features 18 functions in a 2.3-inch body. What makes this knife so special is that it contains every single bladed tool available to the knives in this size as well as a few tools that are exclusive to the MiniChamp.

Some of the most notable tools on this knife include a blade, orange peeler, scraper, cuticle pusher, magnetic Philips screwdriver, nail cleaner, and scissors.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg too. The MiniChamp comes with a very useful ruler in both inches and centimeters. On top of that, the iconic red cellidor scales conceal the toothpick, tweezers, and pressurized ballpoint pen that springs to action when you need a quick writing tool.

Considering the fact that this little guy only weighs 1.6 ounces, it’s amazing just how many tools fit into such a small package. For those who love lights with their Swiss Army Knives, there’s also the Midnite MiniChamp.

  1. The Orange Peeler is one of the most useful gadgets in this. It is not only good for peeling oranges but for many a town chore like opening packages. The odd shaped hook facilitates a lot of cuts.

Yeah. That tool is surprisingly useful. Fun fact: the orange peeler on the 74mm models like the Executive is slightly different.
