Let’s face it, we use video games as a way to escape our lives and jump into some absurd situations. That’s how we’re able to use tactical knives in ways nearly none of us have never used them. In honor of our tactical knife giveaway this week, I’m looking at the 5 best video games that let you use tactical knives in amusing ways.
1. Call of Duty
Few video game series have captured the imaginations of millions like Call of Duty. With its amazingly realistic graphics and competitive gameplay, you can get lost for hours in these games. However, while the varied guns and ammunition are some of the main draws, it takes real skill to use one of the many tactical knives efficiently. The great thing about Call of Duty (or CoD to fanboys) is that there are a bunch of different types of knives. Black Ops alone features a sweet SOG knife, a unique Karambit and the Ballistic shooting knife. For a sample of tactical knife awesomeness, check out this video of a great knife kill.
2. Metal Gear
If full-out war isn’t your type of thing, the Metal Gear games are pure genius. Instead of playing a game where you run around and shoot everyone in sight, Metal Gear has you sneak around tactically. Therefore, a tactical knife is actually used tactically, as you quietly stalk around corners and ambush your enemies in silence. In fact, in Metal Gear Solid 3, you can use the knife for more advanced things, such as interrogating enemies. With an emphasis on Close-Quarters Combat, you can’t beat the tactical knife in these games. In this image, you get a good look at Snake’s tactical knife.
3. Resident Evil
In a world full of zombies, you’d think that guns are the key to survival… that is until you run out of ammo. Although guns are essential in the Resident Evil series (because let’s face it, who wants to get close to a zombie), the combat knife is an extremely effective tool if you know how to use it right. The combat knife is usually shown with a long straight-edged blade accented by serrations on the back. The knife uses no ammo and has even appeared in every Resident Evil movie. Here is a cool knife scene from Resident Evil 4.
4. GoldenEye 007
As a young boy, there was nothing on earth that could tear me away from the Nintendo 64, especially when GoldenEye was on. Based on the James Bond film of the same name, the game gives you a bunch of options for cool weapons like grenade launchers, timed mines and the lethal golden gun. However, there’s something endearing and thoroughly entertaining about the tactical knife you can throw. While the original version featured an unlimited about of throwing knives to kill your enemies, the latest installment features a one-hit kill tactical knife you have to pick up after throws. 5. Rambo
If you’re an avid gamer, you’ve undoubtedly heard the rumor that a Rambo game is coming out next year, and it’s sure to feature tons of tactical knives in situations only Rambo can get himself in. Nevertheless, for the old-school gamer, the mention of a Rambo video game takes them back to the 1988 Sega Genesis version (or possibly much farther back). Either way, all the games, but especially Rambo III feature his badass knife that you can use with reckless abandon. So, as an ode to Rambos old and new, here’s a video of Rambo in all his glory.

Rambo is hanging from his feet while being lashed with a razor-sharp swatch by a chain-smoking soldier. In addition to disposing of the soldier who is torturing him, Rambo must paddle across a moat full of crocodiles, scale a 16-foot electric fence, kill ten guards, release POWs, perform minor surgery upon the wounded, subdue a wild boar and flag down a helicopter for his escape.
In his possession is his trusty survival knife, a scorpion pocket knife with real scorpions encased in the blade, a lighter, some rope, bubble gum, an 8-ounce Budweiser can, a pair of brass knuckles, a Taser, a Glock, a dart gun and a grenade. rambo uses the dart gun to kill the guy torturing him, then he cuts himself down with the tactical knife. then he swims across the river. he uses the grenade to blow up the electric box, then he climbs the fence, he sneaks up on the gaurds and shoves his knife in there throat, then he cuts the lock off, and lets the POWS go. then he wrestles with the boar and cuts its throat. as soon as the hog is down he runs and uses the knife to reflect the sunlight and get the helicopters attention, but it gets shot down, so rambos like forget this, and he starts the long walk home

he would be taking the survival knife,the , and the 8ounce Budweiser can. first he would wait till the guard swung the swatch then caching it with his knife blade he would, in the same movement fling the swatch onto the ground (where he would pick it up later) and cut himself down. then he’d kill the guard by snapping his neck to be sure not to get blood on himself then would slit the dead guards throat tossing him down river waiting until the feeding frenzy started to swim across safely then he would wait until night to blow a use the grenade to blow a hole in the fence attracting the attention of the guards while they were on there way he’d get in rescue the POW’s he’d use the swatch to preform the multiple surgerys and to separate the fibers of string on some clothing of his to sow the wounds shut with a needle he made out of a twig he then would one by one kill the guards with his amazing tactical on there way back to there posts after he sent the POW’s to safety. he the would use the can of Budweiser to attract a passing by helicopter because who wouldn’t stop for free beer and Rambo.

first off rambo asks the guy for a smoke, then when he bends over to give him the cigg, rambo cuts his throat with the pocket knife. now that that is done, rambo picks his three items to take with him. 1) survival knife 2) the glock and 3) the can of budwiser. Rambo uses the dead huys body to feed the crocs ,as they eating that guy he quickly crosses the moat. Now he uses the CAN OF BUDWISER to short out the electric fence and quickly climbs it. He then sneaks up on the first of the 10 gaurds and cuts his throat with his SURVIVAL KNIFE, and then he shoots the rest of the gaurds with his GLOCK. Rambo then frees the POWs and sees that one needs medical help. So he opens one of the GLOCKS bullets and pours the gun powder on the pows wound and uses the flint and steel in his SURVIVAL KNIFE to ignite the powder in order to cortarise the wound. Since we all know that GLOCKS have high capacity magazines the uses the glock to kill the boar for food along the way to the LZ(landing zone) where he again uses his KNIFES flint-n-steel to start a pig fat smoke fire/signal for the chopper. the helio lands and they all jump in and enjoy some great wild boar ribs durning the ride home!!

These tactical knife video games are really one. I tried playing one, and I enjoyed it. The great thing is that, they are not just ordinary games. They are informative ones.
