For a company known for its tactical knives and fixed blade Bowie designs, it might be surprising that one of its best models is a relatively unassuming folder.
But that’s exactly what this Badass Knife of the Week is.
The SOG Twitch II is an excellent everyday carry option that won’t win awards for innovation or style but gets the job done without hesitation.
The blade is 2.65 inches long with a simple drop point design and AUS-8 steel that’s functional and easy to sharpen. This assisted-opening knife can be deployed with a flipper tab or thumb stud. It locks with a lock back mechanism that’s reinforced with a safety that prevents accidental opening or closing.
This version of the Twitch II has anodized aluminum 6061-T6 handle scales, but if you want some style to your knife, the Twitch II is also available in a handsome rosewood handle.
The pocket clip is one-position low-carry that can also double as a money clip.
At a weight of 2.6 ounces and a low-profile, this is a knife you can comfortably carry wherever you go.

I got one of these two years ago for donating to Knife Rights. I did not know until a few months ago that it had a lock to keep its blade closed, when I found a YouTube video on it

I’m pretty sure these have been discontinued unfortunately.
