Badass Knife of the Week: Smith & Wesson SWA3 Extreme Ops Black Pocket Knife

Think all reliable tactical folding knives cost an arm and a leg? Our latest Badass Knife of the Week is proof otherwise.

The Smith & Wesson Extreme Ops Black Pocket Knife is the ultimate tactical folding knife for any budget.

With its reliable locking mechanism, the pocket knife can sustain a tremendous amount of pressure in any extreme situation you find yourself in.

The 3-inch black blade is made from 400 series stainless steel and features three cutouts to reduce the overall weight of the knife. Thumb studs on both sides of the blade allow for quick, ambidextrous opening with one hand. Jimping along the spine also gives greater control over the knife.

Complementing the nonreflective blade is the black textured aluminum handle. More cutouts in the handle further reduce the knife’s weight, which offers a lightweight carry.

A pocket clip adorns the back of the knife.

When you need a strong knife that can take a beating without asking much in return, this folder from Smith & Wesson will get the job done.

  1. I had did some reading on this knife and I had noticed that a lot of reviews have to do with screws falling out and the clip slide apart (Nothing lock-tight, or clear nail polish can’t fix). I have also read about the knife’s lock not working very well. (however there is a warranty). Yet, from what I am reading there are zero complaints about the knife’s original use: using the knife’s blade. In my opinion, based on the facts given, if I were to use it in the back woods I’d carry my Buck Bantam BHW Mossy Oak Break-Up Camo Folding Knife because I know that knife will hold up to almost everything. If I were to buy the knife for usage at home for simple things such as opening boxes then I’d do it.

  2. This is one of the wonderful pocket knife which I had seen.
