Do I post far too many videos from YouTuber kiwami japan? Probably. Am I going to stop? Probably not.

Kiwami japan is one of the most ingenious YouTubers out there, making knives from all types of bizarre materials. He doesn’t use regular materials like steel. Instead, he uses everything from Jell-O to aluminum foil.

In one of his most recent videos, he turns underwear into a knife. Yes, underwear.

Take a look.

Essentially, all of his videos boil down to getting the material hard enough to be able to cut into the shape of a knife and blade. Then, he takes his whetstones and sharpens the heck out of it. While all of these knives have little to absolutely no edge retention, he is able to cut with them.

One of my favorite things about the videos is that he ranks the sharpness of each item he uses. For example, underwear comes in at eighth, below carbon fiber and rice but above cardboard and chocolate.

If you haven’t subscribed to his channel yet, I highly recommend giving him a follow to see what he chooses to make a knife with next. I guarantee it’ll be the sharpest knife made from that bizarre material in the world — and probably the only one.
