Since 1891, the Victorinox Soldier has been the official knife of the Swiss Army. The Soldier has gone through a number of iterations, but the latest version is by far the most badass multitool ever.
The newest Victorinox Soldier is a culmination of all the suggestions over the past 100 years, making it a knife that’s fit for all types of action.
Unlike the previous iterations of the knife, the 2008 update features a partially serrated blade that locks into place via a liner lock. This gives the knife a versatility and strength other multitools don’t have. A thumb hole in the blade of the knife allows for single-handed opening with either hand.
Along with the partially serrated blade, the 111mm knife also has the essential tools you’d expect from a Swiss Army knife, including a reamer, a wood saw, an awl, a pry bar, screwdrivers, and more.
Boasting a much needed ergonomic design, the Soldier has green and black handle scales that are not only comfortable during extended use but also highly durable.
Despite being a part of the Swiss Army arsenal for more than 100 years, the Soldier has continued to adapt to the ever-changing demands of military personnel and hunters alike.
