Who says a badass and functional knife has to be huge?

Featuring a fixed blade that comes in at a little more than two inches, the Morakniv Eldris is a compact knife that packs quite a punch.

The pocket-sized fixed blade is one of the newest additions to Morakniv but still carries the same craftsmanship and focus on quality the company has instilled in each knife for more than a hundred years.

The 56mm (or about 2.2-inch) blade is made of high-quality Swedish 12C27 stainless steel, which is known for good corrosion resistance, exceptional toughness, and admirable edge performance. The 2mm thick blade features an easy-to-maintain Scandi grind and a semi-matte finish.

Despite the minuscule blade, the knife feels like a full-sized blade when holding it. Its handle is the product of considerable forethought. A durable core is made from polypropylene while the TPE outer shell provides a secure grip in all types of conditions. A hole near the rear of the handle gives the option of attaching a lanyard or other gadgets.

The version of the knife we’re highlighting here comes with a black handle, but it’s also available in other colors.

The knife comes with a molded polymer sheath that securely connects to the knife with a built-in click lock. A leather locking strap on this iteration adds another layer of security when carrying around the lightweight knife on its sheath.

Because this is the Eldris kit, you get a few bonus items. A one-meter paracord strip can be used to create a lanyard around the neck while the included firestarter works perfectly with the knife’s grinded spine.
