I remember I was telling a friend of mine that served in the Marines that I was going to buy a knife, and he said, before you do check this out. We were at work, and he took an M-16 with a Tanto style blade out of his pocket, and had it 'deployed' in an instant. I thought that it was a very beautiful, and serious piece of hardware. I looked it up on the internet, and found out it had many design awards. I purchased the knife at a local gun store and I have been very satisfied with the M-16. I watched some videos of the late, great Mr. Carson and have long been a fan. I still feel a sense of gratitude to my friend for enlightening me as to what a really fantastic tool the M-16, designed by Mr. Carson is.

I am from Hardin County and have owned one of Kit's CRKT design, The M4 to be specific. One of my first and favorite knives and honestly is the spark that got me interested in designing knives. I enjoy your dad's vision for knife making and can appreciate that we are from the same part of Kentucky. Cheers to MR. Carson. I hope to complete my first design soon and have it completely inspired by Kits work.

The M4 is definitely one of his best, but it's hard to go wrong with pretty much any of his designs. You could tell he put a lot of thought into every one of his knives.

Just a simple thank you. Articles such as this, and the outpouring of support, prayers and just love and respect for my father have gone a long way to help my family through this tough time. The knife making community is and has always been an extension of our family. We appreciate, so deeply, the many acts of kindness, and just reaching out that have been sent our way. Truly humbled by the support.
