One politician posed the question “Where do you go to get a knife?” The majority answered with the names of various Supermarkets & DIY Stores. The simple answer is that you’d go to your kitchen draw.

As things stand, the UK is going forward with the banning of Posting knives to Residential addresses. This is supposed to stop a person from ordering a knife online & having it delivered to their own home address.

In theory, it sounds like a good idea but a few knife retailers have already come up with a way to get around this.

In my opinion, the banning of knives is not the answer. I think the answer is to have more Police Officers on the streets & have them enforce the current existing Laws that are in place.

The changing of knife rules is an attempt to cover up the real problem. This is the fact that their are 30,000 less Police Officers. It’s common sense, reduce the amount of Police Officers & Knife crime (& other crimes too) increase.

The punishment for offences in the uk (should the perpetrators even get caught) are of no deterrent. The UK needs to adopt a whole new approach to policing. The USA would be a good place to start.

In the UK if your found in possession of a Firearm, the law dictates that it’s a mandatory 5 year prison sentence. In reality, most caught in possession of a Firearm get little more than a warning. No prison time, no fine, no community service.

Increase the number of Police Officers, enforce the existing laws & mandatory sentences then see what happens to crime rates. A darn site more would happen instead of making it an offence to buy acid or to have a knife delivered to your home address.
