Another thing basically nobody here realizes – as a former manager at a forge that makes parts for catepillar, etc – is that most of our steel is imported. “Made in the USA” can be stamped on anything, so long as the FINAL STEP was done in the USA. Even the polishing. It is a wonderful world.

Much of ours came from China!

You can most things made anywhere besides China. Many clothing option are not made in China. Maybe not everything is USA made but I would much rather buy from Taiwan and not support Chinese slave labor. Americans keep making excuses for doing this when all they have to do is take 3 seconds to look at the label and occasionally spend a couple dollars more. Of course you will probably get a better product spending the extra couple bucks because yes China does make a lot of trash.
