I've been carrying this knife in my Keychain for about 4 years. Occasionally, I look at replacing it but, so far, nothing better has shown up.

I agree with the other comments about lightness, Blade quality and etc. All good. My addition is on size and utility. The leek is too small. The blade shape on benchmade is not as generally functional. And etc. The dividend is just the "right" size for an EDC that you will actually use and that you want to 100% work when you need it.

Kershaw Dividend is a really good EDC

I've always been a fan of Kershaw's assisted opening, but that D2 and N690 combo is next level. That 'zipper' line where the steels meet looks so cool. I wonder how the D2 edge holds up over time compared to a solid blade? Definitely looks like a solid choice for an EDC.

The composite blade approach on the Dividend is really clever. Combining D2 for edge retention with N690 for corrosion resistance gives you the best of both worlds without compromising on either front. Kershaw keeps pushing boundaries with practical innovations like this.

The 3-inch blade melds D2 steel on the cutting edge with Bohler N690 to harness the toughness of D2 and the corrosion resistance of N690. The process also creates an eye-catching zipper look where the two steels meet.
