I live in Florida and according to the law here, they consider intent so a pocket knife or sheathed blade is not automatically considered a concealed or illegal knife. I carry one or two knives on me all the time, but in my pockets. I have yet to walk around wearing a fixed blade in a sheath on my belt or even a neck knife.
I have seen guys carrying fixed blades on their belts and some men with knives like the Buck 110 in it's belt sheath. I don't see it very often like when I was younger, but your blue collar, truck driving, hunter types guys still do it.
Sadly, we have too many clueless pansies in the government that fear everything despite the fact that all of them live in secure, guarded neighborhoods and those duded with knives are the same good, hard working people that keep the country moving and perform all kind of work and services for their elitist butts.
While certainly not idea for everything a simple box cutter or a stupid hammer can be deadly, but too many people judge potential "deadliness" on how a thing looks thus a Kabar or a balisong is seen as a tool of violence rather than simply a different design.

Indiana as of 2021 is the most knife friendly state.... PERIOD! There are NO penalties of any kind to carry switchblades, of any size or blade shape, you can carry brass knuckles, Bowie knives, butterfly knives, etc. There is only 2 types of blades they do not allow in Indiana and 99.3% of people aren't carrying this type of ' multi-bladed' weapon (as they term it) anyway ....Throwing stars and 1 other I can't quite recall, also totally obscure. In closing, I understand that knife laws have changed dramatically in alot of states, but as of July 2021, Indiana should be No #1.

He is correct, Arizona passed a conceal carry law several years ago which allows all individuals who can lawfully own a gun, to carry that weapon concealed. Here is one site that states the law.

In NJ they say the knife has to be at most 10 inches, yet it does not specify if that is referring to the blade or overall length. I was wondering if you knew.

Pretty sure that its more like if you do use it in a crime, then you'll catch a knife charge too... Looks to me like Arkansas has less restrictive knife laws than most of these on your "top 10" list. In fact apparently if the blade is less than 3" in Arkansas, you can even carry it if you intend on using it unlawfully.
